The project proposal, responding to signs of the Integrated Territorial Programme, made his own reading of the historical, urban planning, design and cost of the subject of intervention and the broader territorial context of which this is part, has set two main objectives such as the recovery of formal features / typological and architectural value of the place and the new functions of the station, through the establishment of new destinations required in order to achieve a "place" with a recognizable identity, witness identity passed Terni as much as the creator of the present and future. The reference is to the morphological steel strip or coil which, beyond the rhetoric, can be defined as the symbol of the cultural and productive of the city; overlapping volumes surrounding the plot of the rails and generating streams of images and associations singular, pedestrian path proposed, recovers the ancient custom of combining sculpture and architecture, feeding symbolic references and historical, that draw on the collective imagination.
